All Information About Tandem Skydiving
On this page you will find everything you need to know in order to make your first skydive from 4.000 meters above ground.
For skydiving you don't have to be a top athlete. At Skydive Vienna everybody can expierence free fall, if he is in an average overall shape. Absolutely no previous knowledge is required! There are just a view things to be aware of...

Requirements
- For tandem-skydiving, you should be at least 135cm (4'6") tall.
- There is no age limit - everybody from 10-99 is welcome. Underage persons need to be accompanied by their legal guardian.
- If you weight more than 85kg (187lbs, including clothes), this is not a problem either. But please let us know in advance, and allow as to charge a small extra fee, if that is the case.
- You should drink no alcohol or take any other drugs 12 hours prior to your tandem skydive.

Procedure
Please be at our dropzone at least 30 minutes before your appointment, so we can get prepared for the skydive without any pressure. Bring loose-fitting casual wear and sportive lace-up shoes. Follow the link, to get directions.
Usually the whole procedure takes between 60 and 90 minutes, but please bring some extra time and patience! Skydiving does not only depend on the weather - we can't jump in too strong winds or cloudy conditions - but is bound to the air traffic control of Vienna as well. Our dropzone is located within approach-routes of Vienna International Airport where we have to give way for the jumbo-jets.
Of course we will try to throw you out of the airplane as punctually as possible, but please show some understanding, if you have to wait a little.
After registration you will get a short briefing from your instructor (he's the one to jump with you), which will cover everything you need to know. We will further supply you with all necessary gear: a suit, a protective cap and free fall goggles.
After that you are ready to board our DO-28 and climb to 4.000 meters above ground. It's only a small step now, that separates you and free fall with 200 km/h...
DVD of your skydive
If you want, a second skydiver will accompany you with a video camera - a couple of days later you will find a DVD of your jump in the mailbox.
Most of the time experienced video-skydivers are right at our dropzone, so you can decide for that option spontaneously. However to be sure, it would be very helpful if you would request the video when making your appointment.

Tandem Skydiving with Disabilities
We are more than happy to show our sport to disabled persons and let them experience free fall with a tandem skydive as well. Paraplegia, blindness or other handicaps are no blockers for a tandem skydive. However, such jumps require minor extra efforts in planning and execution.
