Coaching at Skydive Vienna
You finished the course, got your license, but things still don't look like on the videos of all the other guys? Don't worry, everybody once started where you are now.
You live and learn - a common saying that quite true when it comes to skydiving. And for many of us, just that fact makes our sport so compelling. We want to share this attitude, and there are lots of people on our DZ who have made it their business to pass their knowledge on to following jumpers, you. No matter what discipline you chose: we got the right contact person for you, to advance your career successfully, save and motivated.
Relative Work
Eva Brand, former national champion, repeated medalist and record holder, is the primary contact person, if you like to imrpove your "belly-flight" skills. Eva coordinates our OBO program too. The latter is primarily aimed at freshmen, who want to strengthen their sureness in free fall and would like to to participate in bigger formations as soon as possible.
This is where you will find all information about OBO: One-by-One at Skydive Vienna.
Freefly, Freestyle and Canopy Control
For tips or guidance concerning topics like headdown, sitfly, 3-dimensional moves - in short: "artistic disciplines" - you best go and ask Paul Alexandrow. Paul is national champion and record holder as well, and he too earned one or two medals in his career. In an individual interview we will first talk about the things you want to achieve next. After that, we'll make them come true with a custom-designed program, but without losing focus on our primary goals: fun and safety.
Never heard of Canopy Piloting? Well, maybe Swooping rings a bell! Agreed, dashing over water with jaw-dropping speed - it looks so cool and easy. But it's about much more, namely to know the possibilities and limits of your canopy off pat, and to be in total control at all times.
With or without swooping, excercises in canopy control are always challenging and rewarding - they improve your self-confidence in the air and are fun as well. You did some in the course already, but there are much more to discover.
But do us a favor: try those things only under expert supervision. We are happy to show you!
Further Offers
Every now and then we organize courses and seminars on a weekly or per-weekend base in all disciplines. Take a look at our calendar to find out what's coming up.
Another valuable option to improve your skills are visits to the wind tunnel. Though this is not exactly the same as a real skydive, it's at least the same fun and a real booster for your progress. Besides, it's warm in there even in winter, making going to the tunnel the perfect way to get through the cold season.
Throughout the year members of Skydive Vienna organize tunnel-trips together, in order to bargain better deals. Ask us anytime, if you want to know more.
