Bigways and LOs at Skydive Vienna
After a long, long intermission a new Austrian record for the biggest free fall formation has been established in 2009. Organized by the skydiving club of Fürstenfeld 34 skydivers, including many participants of Skydive Vienna, successfully built a formation in 3.000m above ground, on October 23rd. Along with a Pink Skyvan our DO was one of the jumpships.
Another record attempt is planned for October 2010, and our DO - just like our best skydivers - will be part of the event again. To be prepared as good as possible, we offer a well designed relative coaching program in this season again. Just like last year and in addition to the well known OBO program, multiple RGS events will provide the oportunity and guidance to make yourself ready for the record attempt.RGS - Relativ Gut Springen
RGS is a coaching program developed by Eva Brand that, on the one hand, has the goal to jump a couple of 14-way formations plus videoflyer at the end of the season, and on the other hand to be prepared for the next Austrian record attempt.
For this reason there will be a series of weekends, where bigger and bigger formations will be organized. All skydives will be preceded by a detailed briefing as well as being discussed in detail after landing. If possible, jumps will be accompanied by an external videoflyer. Eva will always bring her in-formation camera, meaning that there will be a level-video at all times.
RGS is divided into stages, each of wich with its own requirements. Participating is possible on a per-full-day base only!
Registration and Costs
- We kindly ask you to register in advance.
- Registration ends at 8am of the actual day though.
- Register with and request further information from Eva (eva.brand@gmail.com)
- Skydivers from other DZs are very welcome!
- Stage 1 will be charged as in the OBO program.
- In stages 2-4 only an orga-fee of 3,- Euros will be charged in addition to each jump ticket.
The Stages
- Stage 1: OBO
- Requirements: almost none, license desirable.
- Dates: April 4rd, 10th, 11th with Eva, Werner and Günter - Meet at 8:30am at the manifest.
- further dates available on request.
- Stage 2: Small Groups
- Requirements: either RGS 1 or 400 jumps.
- Dates: May 8th, 9th, 22nd, 23rd, June 5th, 6th - Meet at 7:30am at the manifest.
- Stage 3: Medium Groups
- Requirements: either RGS 2 or 1000 jumps.
- Dates: July 3rd, 4th, 17th, 18th, 24th, 25th, September 4th, 5th - Meet at 7:30am at the manifest.
- Stage 4: Fill up the DO!
- Requirements: either RGS 3 or experience in big formations or 2000 jumps.
- Dates: September 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th, October 2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th - Meet at 7:30am at the manifest.

Additionally Eva will be available for RGS and OBO during the funweek in August.
